This free guide is intended for people with and those interested in Parkinson’s disease (PD). PD is an unusual disorder in that it may cause a wide array of problems, but those problems differ greatly from one patient to the next. As it is often said, “once you’ve seen one PD patient, you’ve seen one PD patient.” However, once you’ve seen a few thousand, there are many general observations that can be made. There are certain problems that are common, which we will address in this book.
My reasons for writing this are primarily because I think I can be helpful. I have only a small amount of time to spend with each patient I see, and never feel that I’ve been as helpful as I could be. This collection of essays is my attempt to be more helpful, to provide an easily accessible location where most questions related to PD can be answered.
